Reasearch / work |
I am is a researcher at the unit of Maritime Environmental Sciences at Chalmers and study antifouling paints used for the protection of submerged vessel hulls against biofouling. With a background in environmental chemistry, the focus of my research is to study the chemical substances emitted from antifouling paints, the parameters affecting their release to the water and their environmental fate and impact. I specialize in the use of X-Ray Fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) to measure the release rate of biocides from antifouling coatings and as a tool to investigate how to reduce their environmental impact. |
