Reasearch / work
Ola Wetterberg is currently professor and chair in built heritage at the Department of Conservation, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and director of the Centre for Critical Heritage Studies at Gothenburg and University College London (www.CCHS.gu.se). He is deputy head of the Department of Conservation. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Heritage Studies and the Cambridge University Press Elements series on Critical Heritage Studies. He is the editor of the book series Studies in Conservation, University of Gothenburg. He has been PI for a large research project on Religious Heritage funded by the Swedish Research Council, and has in the past had several externally funded projects. He has been publishing on urban heritage and planning, universities and the city, religious heritage and on the conservation professions. He has been employed as an expert at the National Heritage board, had assignments for the Ministry of Culture and other bodies.
