GS is interested in scientific controversies related to risk issues, both environmental and technological risks. He is actually working on a project analysing the siting process of a final repository for spent nuclear fuel in Sweden. In the decision making process results from natural sciences, for example geology, are mixed with political questions of local acceptance.
